The CrossFit dietary perscription is as follows:
Protein should be lean and varied and about 30% of your total calories.
Carbs should be low-glycemic and about 40% of your total calories.
Fat should be from whole food sources and account for about 30% of your total calories.
Your diet should contain vegetables, meat, nuts, seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Simple. It's suggested to shop around the perimeter of the grocery store, while the processed food is usually kept on the shelves. CrossFit is an avid promoter of the Zone Diet, introduced by Dr. Barry Sears. I've been on it for years and it's pretty awesome. In my experience, it's been the most realistic diet to keep up with. I have the book if anyone is interested in borrowing it. Here's the link if you would like to get it for yourself! https://www.amazon.com/Enter-Zone-Dietary-Road-map/dp/0060391502
